Q: How long have you been retired from trashing the environment?

I can't remember - a few years ago, perhaps! But if I notice I drop something, like a piece of tissue, I will pick it up and throw it in a garbage bin.

Q: Why did you pick it up and make sure to throw it in a bin?

The road was clean - why would you litter it?!

Q: When was the last time you disposed of trash in the environment?

It's been a while. I'm not perfect, you know; the other day, I tried to throw a gum in the bin, but it landed on the grass next to it and I didn't pick it up.

Q: What made you decide to stop littering the streets?

I've become more aware of the environment and make sure to dispose of litter properly. But, I will still throw apple cores into the environment, such as on the grass, but not on the pavement where people walk, as I was told that they decompose naturally in nature.

I'm aware that it's not right; it doesn't look right and it's messing up our environment. At least I'm making a difference, and if everyone had the same mindset and did the same thing, it would be even better. But, I can't speak for everyone. Some people just don’t care; they think it’s not their street or property, or that someone else will clean it up. But who’s going to clean it up? I even noticed it in the gym! As long as I know I’m not doing it. I am doing my part to keep the environment clean.
